Theme Thursday - Ghost! Eep!

Ghost.
A soul haunting around you - a memory floating about. The dead ones are the ghosts. Sometimes, the live ones remain the ghost of what could've been. A soul hovers down a hallway, a ghost. Do you believe in ghosts? I certainly do. Do you believe in ghosts? I certainly don't. Believing makes all the difference with souls. But not the memory. Not the live ghost, either. I don't make any sense, do I? Too bad. The ghost of my good writing and making sense is haunting far away, in the very corners of my mind. It's summer vacation - really, can you blame me? Ghosts haunting corridors, floating down stairwells, spooking the animals. Scaring the children. These very ghosts were once people like you or I. What makes them want to scare? What makes us afraid? If the ghost of a loved one were to come back and say 'Boo', would you fear them? You knew them. What would make you fear them now? Would you be relieved they are back, or terrified at their arrival? Would you run screaming, or hug their ghostly figures? The paranormal surrounds us, whether you believe in it or not, whether a ghost or an alien or whatever it is is there. A ghost floats by - do you notice? Do you care? Do you think about it? You might be a ghost someday - drifting down the hall. Spooking people. Do you want people to fear you? Think about the answer to that. You see a ghost, what do you do?
What would you do if you saw a ghost?

(sorry, I had to)

What would you do?

  3. "the ghost of my good writing' is a brilliant term. I am gonna steal that and not tell you that I did. Opps....I don't believe in them but when I get tired I do see flashes of phantom people out the corner of my eye. Maybe that is only a symptom of fatique or many I can only see them while in that state. If the latter is true then they can stop freaking me out any time now.

  5. I liked the MJ - haven't seen that before.

What would I do? It would depend on what it looked like. I'd either try to engage it, or run like the dickens!

  14. Oops I think I was eaten. Definitey a ghost in Blogger that's not happy Im a non believer. Great postulations (haha does anyone say that!). No, I don't believe but sometimes I wish my ghosts would drop by because the people who have passed in my life I love . .maybe they don't want to scare me, maybe I don't have the sight and they're there anyway.

  15. My reaction would depend on whether or not I knew the ghost when he/she was alive, and my relationship to him/her. If I hadn't known the ghost in its living form, I'd be curious, but not feel threatened unless it acted threateningly toward me.

  18. I forgot all about that video! Thanks!

If I saw a ghost, the first thing I'd do would be to try and wake myself up. :)
